Technical Council on Forensic Engineering (TCFE)PURPOSE:
The purpose of TCFE is to develop practices and procedures to reduce the number of such failures, to disseminate information on failures and their causes, to provide guidelines for conducting failure investigations, and to provide guidelines for ethical conduct in forensic engineering. Authorized in July 1985, the Technical Council on Forensic Engineering (TCFE) applies engineering principles to the investigation of failures or other performance problems. The investigations may involve testimony on the findings before a court of law or other judicial forum, when required. Failures are not all catastrophic, such as when a building or bridge collapses. Failures also include facilities or parts of facilities that do not perform as expected. AN INVITATION: The Technical Council on Forensic Engineering continually seeks active participation by individuals interested in advancing forensic engineering pursuits. If you are interested in sharing your experience and talents with other engineers working in this field, complete the application form below, and submit with a brief copy of your C.V.
