Members Needed for Failure Database Task Force
The Committee on Dissemination Information (CDFI) is initiating a long-term project, which is to develop and maintain an online database of failures. The intent is that by studying the information gathered, the profession can develop lessons learned and strategies for reducing failures from similar events in the future. Initially, the database will focus on Hurricane Katrina and other extreme events. Follow the link provided below for more information.
This new task force, headed by Dave Peraza, is looking for individuals with appropriate expertise who can help advance this project. Needed expertise needed includes: failure classification systems, database design, levees, bridges, extreme weather events, liaison with other organizations.
